You guys (my, like 10 readers) might be wondering, "Where did the book critiques go? I really enjoyed them! This new Whatever blog stinks! Where did classy Sydney go?" Screw you. Let me tell you why I haven't been making the book reviews:
They're really time consuming. I have to try to make a nonsensical critique that stays focused and give a general sense of the worth of the books. As a creative writer and someone born of contradictions, this task is so mind bending.
I'm way behind. Many times it has occurred to me to catch up on the reviews, but many of the books I read are in series and I'm already on the third or fourth book before I manage to write a review on the first. It's not that I'm not reading books and have nothing to write about. It's that I'm reading too much, so much that the books all begin to turn into a general mush inside my brain.
Honestly, I'm a tad disheartened. It feels like this blog is pretty useless. Nothing against weebly, but I wonder if more people would find my blog if it were on blogspot or tumblr. I don't know, I'm quite conflicted. Hardly anyone reads this, and I feel like I put in so much work for nothing. What's the good of a critic without an audience. They become insane people, shouting to empty chairs and strangers passing by.
I do have a life, you know? I have sports to practice, people to talk to, tv shows to watch. As an avid procrastinator, my ability to focus and write a decent critic is really difficult. It's so easy for me to simply forget about this blog and instead wander around on some other website.
What do you think? Should I move onto another blog? Should I go onto youtube instead? Do you have these blogger problems too? Let me know and join the club of aspiring bloggers!
PS. The critiques are not gone! It just might take me a while before I bring a critique to the table. Don't be too sad!
